Dr Martens 1461 SALE now on!

So I went and bought a pair of Dr Martens 1461 shoes today from Cloggs (click here to visit), got them for £49.99, sooooo cheap!.

The site's great for buying shoes in the UK. It's a pain in the ass having to search multiple sites, this site has by far the cheapest prices, awesome! Saved me so much time.

Anyway, the shoes are really comfortable, I have been wearing them every day for work, they will take a few weeks to break in but even now after 5 days they are feeling great and people keep saying how cool they look, well happy with them :-)

Go get your shoes from the Cloggs before the Dr Martens 1461 SALE ends!

Dr Martens Chris Boot Review

The best retailers are listed below

Cloggs – the first place to go for Dr Martens Chris or Dr Martens in general, they are an excellent retailer with really cheap prices and speedy delivery.

Amazon – the next place to try and get hold of a pair of Dr Martens Chris, one of the leading companies in retail, cheap prices and reliable delivery.

Dr Martens Chris are obviously in demand as nearly all retailers in the UK are either sold out or have limited options in sizes and colours. Finding information about the boot is difficult, I couldn´t even find them on the Dr Martens Official website!

All I know is that I ordered a pair in black two years ago, and they are absolutely perfect for wearing in the office, for a night out around town, or for any occasion where smart dress is required.

The leather is soft and the sole still bouncy which provides immediate comfort from the moment you put them on your feet.

Everyone always told me how good they looked, I could only agree. Dr Martens really produced a brilliant bit of footwear here, it´s a shame they didn´t market them as much as the others.

Go and get yourself a pair whilst you still can!

Buy Dr Martens Aztec Crazy Horse

I am telling you, buy them now! I am a Dr Martens freak and come Monday will have owned 3 pairs in my lifetime. I bought them all from Cloggs, this shop is very cheap and have always made me very happy with their fast delivery and cheap prices!

My latest pair are Dr Martens 1460z Aztec Crazy Horse, here is a picture of them :-)

As you can see, they look awesome, I just can't wait to break them in like my last pair, soooo comfortable. Anyway, go buy yourself a pair and enjoy your boots as much as me. Peace out :-) xxx

Vietcong only runs if I disable sound SOLUTION

I play Vietcong for many years ($amurai of Minh), recently I came across a problem with it. It would only run if I disabled the sound in the menu.

The solution is to enable the Stereo Mixer in your Sound configuration. To do this on Windows 7.

Right click on the little speaker icon bottom right hand corner of the screen, then click Sounds
Click on the Recording tab
Right click on empty space and click "Show disabled devices"
If you see the Stereo mixer as disabled, right click it and enable it.

This should solve the problem :-)

Have fun!!!

How to cook spicy rice

Yo dudes/dudettes,

Over the past month I’ve been practicing cooking rice. After reading lots of articles I had a few methods to try out. I had a recipe for spicy fragrant rice lying around so I thought I would give it a shot. The first time I tried it I overcooked the rice due to me not following the method correctly (D’oh!) but the second time was a perfect result so I thought I would blog the recipe and the method here for you to try at home, trust me when I say it’s amazing!

Ingredients required for spicy water which the rice will be cooked in later...
·         2 x peeled garlic cloves
·         6 x peppercorns / chilli seeds (depends how hot you want it)
·         4 x cardamom pods
·         1 x 2cm thick cinnamon stick
·         1 ¾ cups of water

Ingredients for cooking the rice...
·         ½ a chopped onion
·         ½ tsp cumin seeds
·         1 tbsp tomato puree
·         2 x chopped garlic cloves (can use ones used from making spicy water)
·         1 x chicken stock cube
·         1 x cup of brown rice
·         1 tbsp vegetable/olive oil

Method for making spicy water...
Put all the required ingredients into a pan and cover with a lid. Bring the water to a boil then turn off the heat, leave to infuse for 2 hours.  After 2 hours, put the water through a sieve to remove all ingredients, put the garlic cloves to one side, these will be used shortly.

Method for making the rice...
Crush the chicken stock cube and stir into the spicy water. Wash the brown rice until water runs clear then put to one side. Put the oil into a pan and turn to medium heat, once hot, add the cumin seeds and stir until they begin to pop. Add the chopped onions and stir until they start to brown, then add the chopped garlic and stir until brown.

Add the damp rice and the tomato puree then quickly stir in all the ingredients, you will notice that they will start to stick to the rice. Add the spicy infused water you made earlier and bring to the boil then cover with lid and turn down to a very low heat. Leave to simmer (it’s very important not to remove the lid during cooking). After 20 minutes, turn off the heat and leave to stand with the lid on (don’t remove it yet). After 15 minutes remove the lid and fluff with spoon.

Serve immediately with a meat of your choice, enjoy!

P.S - This recipe will make a good serving for 2 people, if you cook for just yourself you will have some leftover for the next day :-)
